If i buy a Netgear GS108 Gigabit ethernet desktop switch and Netgear N600 Wireless gigabit router can iconnect?
if i a buy a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router and a Netgear GS108 8 Port Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch will these work? the N600 is the router and the gs108 is the modem, am i correct? please tell me if these two will be compatible. thank you

What modem must i buy in order for it to connect to Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router?
the router im planning to buy is a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router WNDR3700, but which modem must i buy in order for them to work? i just need any, preferrably cheap, modem that will connect. an assistant told me that i need a gigabit modem which i dont understand. please give me specific products that will connect to the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router WNDR3700. thank you.

Any modem will work. Also check on the box to make sure it's not a modem/router combo. That would eliminate the need of having to buy a modem. Any modem will work fine. If it's a 10 100base-t network interface you'll be in the clear. If you truly want your "gigabit" speeds you could find one that's 100/1000 base-t but that's nothing you'd have at your home. No one even has 100 Mbps at home. 10 Mbps is like...good. Hope this helps!!

In my netgear wireless router settings I have the mode option of Mbps. What does higher Mbps do?
Is it faster downloading speeds? Should I set it to 300Mbps instead of the default "up to 130 Mbps"? The router is the Netgear N600 Dual Band Gigabit router. It's being used in a 1 bedroom apt. Thank you.
