Midland Water Proof Case

I applied 2 weeks ago for pregnancy Medicaid online and went up to the Medicaid office last week to provide proof of pregnancy, but my local office didn't have my application and said that Midland (way on the other side of Texas) was handling my case and faxed my information to that office. They said if I didn't hear from them by 30 days after I applied to come into my local office and put in another application. Should I call Midland? Or wait and hope that someone is actually handling my case? I'm only 7 weeks so I have a little while before I have to go to the doctor, but I don't want to be into my second trimester before I see one. When is a good time to see the doctor for the first time? Thank you for all your help!

Theoretically, in TX, if you're pregnant, the people in the Medicaid office have to process your application within 30 days. In reality, according to an acquaintance who works in an office processing applications for Medicaid in Texas, when it gets down to the last day or two, all the unprocessed applications are thrown into the trash, so if you call, they'll say "we never got it!". You need to put in an application every two weeks, until it gets processed. I've known pregnant women in Texas, to submit up to 7 applications and take up tp 4 months to get coverage. Regarding a doctor - they can't really do anything for the first trimester, except tell you to eat healthy, take vitamins with folic acid, and stop smoking, drinking, or using recreational drugs. If you take reasonable care of yourself, doctors don't really do much besides routine testing - most of which you don't need, anyway. I don't see a doc until I'm about 16 weeks along.

Apparently Midland Funding LLC has filed a lawsuit and received a judgement again me in the amount of 12,000.00. I was never properly served since they had wrong address on the file. Now here are some questions. 1. Case was filed in LA Superior Court. Can I obtain copies of complaint and proof of service? 2. If indeed they did not properly serve, can I file motion to vacate? 3. I tried to settle but they want 3000.00 cash up front and make 350.00 per month. I asked if I can arrnage payment plan thru the court, Midland Funding's law office told me "NO". Are they trying to scare me? I don't have 3000.00 in cash and cannot make 350.00 per month. I am trying to buy a house and I need to reconcile this judgement before escrow closes. Please help!

Ok so im being sued. Not too big of a deal. Its for a credit card I had 5-6 years ago. With interest its accrued to a little more than 600 dollars. The law firm is Forster and Garbus on behalf of Midland Credit Management for a Providian card. When I received the dunning letter I replied with a letter requesting proof of validation and exercise my right to arbitration which was sent certified.. I received nothing back from them. A month or two later I got served a summons to appear in court. I went down to the courts and answered the summons. I then sent them a notice of 30 day compliance requesting any and all documentation they have on this case. I got nothing back. Yesterday I got a letter from the courts informing be that im scheduled to appear in the Arbitration Hearing room on 7/7/10 in front of a hearing officer. Basically my question is how am I supposed to get this documentation from them before the hearing date? I cannot properly represent myself if the opposing Attorney is not complying with my requests. If I want to subpoena these records does it have to go through the courts? Are they just trying to scare me into paying and have no plans of showing up? You show up in that room with nothing but a pad of paper, a pin, and proof that you made the requests. And request a continuance and penalties against the other party for not responding to you requests. It would also be a great time to file a motion with the court that the case be dismissed with prejudice because of their failure to supply requested information in a timely manner.
